Strange Dragon – 133

Chapter 133 – Pii’s Power

Apparently, Kelly thought of the possibility that my hair was shinier as well.

“Hmm. Theo. Let me touch your hair.”
“Sure. You can touch it all you want.”

And so Kelly walked up to me and started to inspect my hair as I sat there.
In the meantime, I petted Hippolius and the wolf cubs who were on my lap.

“Let’s see…”

Gisela came and started to touch my hair as well.

“Huh? This is…”
“What?”
“It’s like monkeys picking fleas.”
“…That’s true.”

Kelly nodded with satisfaction
And then Fio started to look at my hair as well.

“Shiny!”

However, it was ticklish.

“I guess it’s Pii’s ability.”
“Pii. Please do it to me next time.”
‘Okay!’
“Me too!”
‘Okay!’

Kelly and Gisela asked, and Pii readily agreed.

“Pii says ‘okay.’”
“How good of you, Pii.”

And so Gizela squeezed and played with Pii for some time after that.

As for Boabboa and dragon, they were relaxing nearby.
After being warmed up, the wind probably felt very comfortable.

However, it will be midday soon.
And then it would become hot.

“We should move before it gets too hot.”
“Bubo!”
“Grau!”

And so we started to walk towards Boaboa’s nest.
I carried Kuro, Roro and Ruru.
But even though they were young, it was difficult to carry all three of them.

Shiro and Hippolius played as they followed after me.
As always, Pii rode on my head.

“Boaboa. How does your stomach feel?”

Gisela asked while they walked.
She rubbed the stomach gently.

“Bui.”
“Boaboa says that she is feeling well.”
“I see. And there is no pain? Nausea? No discomfort?”
“Bui.”
“She says that she’s fine.”
“That’s good. I was so worried.”
“Bubui.”
“Oh, I am fine! I drank Mr. Theo’s medicine.”

Gisela said as she petted Boaboa.

“Gisela. You can understand what Boaboa is saying?”
“Sort of?”
“I see. So I don’t need to interpret for you.”

Heroes really were in a class of their own.
She was like the protagonist of a story.

“But it’s not like I can understand clearly, so it helps.”

Gisela said as she picked up Boaboa’s child.
It was also happily saying, ‘Bui-bui.’

After walking a little longer, we arrived in front of the nest.

“Now, we better return to the base as well.”
I said, and Kelly nodded.

“Indeed. There are things that we must do there.”
“Boaboa. We are thinking of going back now.”
“Bui.”
“Buui.”

Boaboa was thanking us.
But Boaboa’s child was pulling at my sleeve as if it was sad.

“You can come and visit us at the base anytime.”
“Bui.”
“And if you want to live there, I could even build you a house.”
“Bubui.”

While Boaboa was large, it would not be a problem.
I just needed to make a house that was as big as Hippolius’s.

“Indeed! Why don’t you move, Boaboa? It may be dark and cool in the cave, but it is so damp.”
“…Bui…”
Boaboa was considering it.

“Bubui bui bui.”

Boaboa’s child was saying that it wanted to move.
It wanted to be with me, Gisela and Hippolius.

“Alright? Let’s do it, let’s do it!”
“Now, wait. Gisela. While it would be nice if they moved, perhaps they like being in the cave?”

It was possible that they wanted to stay in a dirty, damp cave where the sun didn’t shine.

“Uh, really? Do you really like that hole?”
“Bui!”
“Theo. What did Boaboa say?”

Kelly asked as she held her notebook in one hand.
She was probably interested in what these new Chimeras liked to live.

“Apparently, they don’t particularly like the cave.”
“Oh?”
“Bubui.”
“However, there are not many places that are large enough and would keep them out of the wind and rain.”
“In that case, you must live with us! Mr. Theo will build you a house!”
“Yes, as Gisela says, I can make it. But what kind of environment do you like, Boaboa?”
“Buuui…”

Boaboa thought about it carefully.
Perhaps she had never even thought about it up until now.
In the wild, you prioritized safety over comfort.
But if you were so big that you had no enemies, then you are now limited by size.

“Boaboa. What is your preference? Damp? Dry? Hot? Cold? Dark? Bright?”
“…Bui.”

Kelly looked at me to interpret.

“Boaboa says she hadn’t considered it before. And so she does not know.”
“I see. What about the cave, Boaboa? Have you ever wished that it was cooler?”
“Bui.”
“She says that she doesn’t like the dampness. And that it is hot during the summer.”
“…I see. While the sun doesn’t shine in, you do not get much air flow.”

Boaboa’s nest was a bit humid.

“Alright. Well, you should just come to the base for now!”
“…Bui.”
“Of course, you can. Right, Mr. Theo?”
“Well, we have to ask Victor first. But I’m sure it will be fine.”
“See? Did you hear that, Boaboa?”
“Bubui.”
“Bui-bui!”

And like that, it was decided that Boaboa and her child would live with us at the base.
