Chapter 137 – Children’s Morning

The morning of the following day.

“Kyafu-kyafu.”
“…”
“Wuff!”
“Kyuo! Kyuo!”
“Bubui!”

I woke up to the sounds of Hippolius and the wolf cubs were playing loudly, as well as Boaboa’s child.
They were very adorable, and I smiled while watching them.

And then…
“Argh! Argh! Arghhh!”
Hero Gisela joined them in rolling around on the ground.

Fio and Shiro watched them with warm expressions, as if they were the guardians.
Gisela was my old friend who had defeated the Demon King on the old continent.
In other words, she was a grown adult.
If anything, she should be watching over Fio and Shiro. But this was Gisela, and it could not be helped.

“Good morning.”
“Kyuo.”

Hippolius replied energetically.
Hippolius was a very strong dragon who had become my familiar during our voyage to this continent.
While it was normally very large, recently, it had learned the ability to shrink down in size.
And now that it was small, it started to play with the cubs a lot as if it was one of them.

‘Let’s play. Let’s play.’
“Awoo.”
‘Carry.’

Kuro, Roro, and Ruru rushed towards me.
As they were my familiars, I was able to communicate with them through telepathy.

As Ruru wanted me to pick her up, I did so.
And I picked up the other two as well.

Kuro was the only boy, and he was a rascal that liked to be petted.
And he was always wanting to play.

Roro was the most quiet.
And while she could communicate with me, she tended to bark more often.

Ruru was like the older sister of the group.
She always seemed to look after the other two.
She would make Kuro and Roro eat first, and even share some of her food.

“Bui.”

Boaboa’s child was climbing onto my leg.
While it looked exactly like a baby boar, it was actually a power monster.

“Good morning!”
“Wou!”

Fio and Shiro greeted me as they picked up the wolf cubs.
Fio held Kuro and Roro in her arms, while Shiro picked up Ruru in her mouth.
They wanted to make sure the wolf cubs didn’t get in my way as I washed up and prepared for the morning.

“Pii.”
“Good morning, Pii.”

The slime king had been resting on top of my head.
Apparently, Pii really liked that spot.

“Good morning, Theo!”
“Good morning, Gisela. You seem very energetic this morning.”
“I woke up early. And so I came with Boeboe!”
“Boeboe?”
“This little one.”

Gisela said as she picked up Boaboa’s child from off my leg.

“Buibui!”

It oinked happily.

“Oh, so you gave it a name then?”
“Well, it’s not like you could do it.”
“That’s true, but…”

As I had the taming skill, if I gave it a name, then it would become my familiar.
And so I could not give names out so easily.

“But if it’s going to live with us, it should have a name. And so I named it, as I don’t have the taming skill.”
“Do you like it?”
“Bububui!”

Boaboa’s child, no, Boeboe, seemed very happy.

“I see. Well, I’m glad to have you here, Boebore.”
“Boeeeee!”

It snorted energetically.

“Boeboe is so cute!”
“Bui!”

Fio also thought so.
While holding the cubs, she moved towards Boeboe, who was being held by Gisela, and sniffed.

“Gisela, did you sleep well last night?”
“I did! Boaboa and Boeboe are so soft!”
“I see. That’s good to hear.”

Last night, Gisela had stayed at Boaboa’s house, which had just been completed.
There was actually a proper room for Giselfa in the house for Adventurers.
It was the room that had originally been prepared for me.
However, she must have wanted to stay with Boaboa, Boeboe, and dragon.

“Huh? Where is Ije?”
“Ije! Food!”

Fio told me.
As Fio had been raised by demon wolves, she was not the most eloquent speaker.

“I was going to help her, but she said I should help watch the children.”
“I see. That is an important job as well.”

It seemed more likely that Ije did not think that Gisela would be any help at all.
I understood the feeling.
Gisela was among the strongest fighters in the world, but she was not good at more delicate work.
Still, she was good at watching over children.

“Now, since I’m awake, I think I’ll go and help Ije as well…”

I headed to the sink in order to wash my face.
I had just made the sink the other day.
It really was convenient to be able to wash your face in your own room.
