Chapter 99 – Finishing the installation of the sink
The young Adventurer picked up Kuro, who was clawing at his feet.
And while petting him, he said,
“If it’s too close to the door, people might bump into it… But if it’s too far, then it will be a hassle as well.”
“I see. So around here.”
“Yes, that will be the most convenient. But will that be alright with the pipes?”
“That will be fine. After all, they will be underground anyway.”
“I see! That’s amazing!”
Once the location was decided, I just needed to fix it in place and lay the pipes.
And it wasn’t easy, it was still simpler than when connecting the pipes to the toilets, dining hall and bathing house.
And so I put Hippolius down on the ground and got to work.
I finished attaching the sink to the ground, and then it was time for the pipes.
“This will take some concentration.”
‘Okay!’
In order to avoid distracting me, Hippolius walked over to where Fio and Shiro were.
As for the young Adventurer, he did not return to the dining hall, but continued to pet the wolf cubs.
I suppose being with them was more relaxing.
I understood him well.
After that, I carefully activated the appraisal skill.
My target was the ground under the floor.
This allowed me to have a good grasp on what was happening three meters deep, and about thirty meters wide.
And so I could see the placements of all the other sewage and water pipes I had installed.
“Good!”
I took out a mass of metal from the magic bag, and then used the crafting skill.
I set the ground as the crafting place of the metal pipes.
Like that, the pipes will stretch through the ground, replacing the soil.
I made them deep into the ground, which would make them less likely to freeze.
Slowly, the pipes extended out as they were crafted, and once they reached the thick water pipe, I connected them.
I did this twice, for both the cold and hot water.
“Now that’s it for the water.”
Currently, there were two pipes coming out of the floor. The parts of the pipes had lids.
I had to attach the sewage pipes first, or the place would get flooded.
“Are you finished?”
Fio asked.
“Not yet.”
“Okay!”
It seemed like Fio and Hippolius were ensuring that the wolf cubs did not get in my way.
“Thank you.”
I thanked Fio and went back to work.
The drain pipe was thicker. However, aside from that, it was similar to the water pipe.
And since you only needed one, it would be easier to do.
And so I laid the pipes in the ground and connected them to the main pipe.
After that, I connected it to the bottom of the sink.
“That should do it.”
“Finished?”
“Almost.”
“Okay!”
Fio seemed quite curious, and she started to touch the pipes that were coming out of the floor.
And then she returned to Hippolius and the others.
“Now, the hardest part is finished, but… The last part is still troublesome.”
It was the water faucet.
The structure had to be made so that you could make the water come out whenever you pulled the lever.
And doing that was a little complicated.
Not only that, but you had to be able to adjust the water temperature with the angle of the lever as well.
“Hmm, I suppose I just need to do what I did in the bathing house.”
I extended the water pipes even further, created the faucet, and then added the lever for the hot and cold water.
“It’s completed.”
“Finished?”
“Aye. At least, for this house.”
“Yay!”
Fio was happy as well.
Hippolius, who was being carried by Fio, also wagged its tail.
“You’re finished? Thank you!”
“Aye, you can try using it now. It is just the same as the bath house.”
“Understood!”
The Adventurer then tried using the faucets to test the hot and cold water.
“It’s perfect! Thank you so much!”
“I’m just glad that I was able to finish it. Well, onto the next one then!”
“Yay!”
There were still three other houses, and also Hippolius’s house as well.
And so I took Fio, Shiro, Hippolius and the wolf cubs to the horse next door.
The young Adventurer then returned to the dining hall.
As for Pii, it remained on my shoulder.
“Pii!”
“Did you wake up?”
‘Theodore. Are your shoulders sore?’
Pii asked, and so I tried turning my arm.
But I did not get very tired from just using the crafting skill.
Though, I did use my head a lot.
And I sometimes felt that using your head made your shoulders sore too.
“Maybe a little.”
“Pii!”
Pii squeaked and started to massage my shoulders.
It felt very nice.
“Ah, thank you, Pii. It is very effective.”
“Pii!”
Pii even massaged my head.
And my head and shoulders started to relax.
“I feel like I can use the appraisal skill and crafting skill infinitely now.”

And so with Pii’s help, I was able to finish the creation and installation of the remaining sinks.
